So I am supposed to feel damn proud when they announced something like this? Appointing someone who has already reached the twilight of his career. Why, is it really that hard to find someone as capable but also younger?
To me, this is only a window dressing appointment and nothing more. It is akin to a farewell present given in advance prior to retirement. And it could be also something to pacify the grumbling here in Sabah that has became louder by the day ever since March 2008.

KOTA KINABALU, Feb 27 (Bernama) - Kamaruzzaman Abdul Salleh from Semporna, wrote a new chapter in Sabah history by becoming the first local born to be appointed Sabah Inland Revenue Board (IRB) director, starting March 1.
